Thorncreek Golf Club
About
The golf course at Thorncreek Golf Club is a public, 18-hole course in the city of Thornton. The course features 7,268 yards of golf from its longest tees, playing to a par of 72. Designed by Finger Dye Spann, Inc., the course has a links-style layout. A unique aspect of the course is that a street separates the front nine holes from the back nine. Lakes that are situated on the course create water hazards that come into play on a few holes. Thorncreek Golf Club's signature hole is the par-4, 18th hole, which has a fairway with a water hazard along one side.

Good course, few small issues with fairways
Biggest complaint that I had about the course was they just finished aerating the fairways and left the soil junks all over the fairway, which affected ball rolls and caused trouble hitting in the fairway. Other than that, greens were in good shape.
tough course
while they had just aerated and there were dirt turds everywhere on the fairways, the greens were in good shape.
Fourth time through Golf Now
I've played here four times through golfnow, and all have been very pleasant. This is a very difficult course for a beginner, so bring extra balls if you're still a rookie like me. I really like the 3rd hole with the water that comes right up to the back of the green -- be careful there!
Decent Course
Fairways are a little rough right now but it's early spring, hopefully they will get them into shape soon.
This course is in bad shape. needs a lot of work
I was upset that I had to pay 25 dollars much less if I had to pay 60$. The course is in bad shape. Fair ways and tee box is in terrible shape. Will never play this course again!
Great course, but wait to play until summer
Coming off a cold and snowy winter had made certain parts of the course very unplayable, though they did not mark the areas (some fairways had dead spots/dirt on certain parts). It was drizzling and cooler that day, but the course was set up fair and was very playable. One thing they need to do is get someone out there to fix divots and ball marks, as there were a substantial amount that I repaired for them. I really liked how they kept the sand traps, as they were raked nicely and the sand was fluffy like it should be. Rough had some dead spots, but was very nice to hit out of. Overall, the course was in great condition for the beginning of spring, but I expect it to get better as it gets into summer as it usually does.
*Note: I played by myself and with no one on the course, and the time played does not reflect how fast it is to usually play here (usually between 4 1/2 hrs. to 5 hrs.)
Great price for a round. super windy but overall nice
The course gets significantly more difficult on the back nine. lots a ob. a ton of raised greens but they were slow. which i liked.
Not too tough
Weather was perfect, grass was ok for March, never saw one cart girl, greens were ok for March.
this course has good potential with more water.
played in mid March, with Golf Now.com. course needs water as all courses in colorado.
Visually interesting and challenging course...beautiful mountain views!
Visually interesting course with many elevated greens. Fairly challenging. Slow play can be a problem but the beautiful mountain views help pass the time!
Could be the best winter golf in Denver
course is in very good shape for the winter. They are going to have to start watering soon though, VERY dry. friendly staff.
January Golf in Colorado!
Can I complain? NO! The driving range has the best quality mats you can buy. The course was clear of snow and the greens were not frozen! Pace of play was quick, and the front desk guy was friendly! Very easy and for the price it was by far the best deal north of Denver for this time of year.
nice long course with good variation...
well kept and a real bargin ... good conditions for this time of year ...
Great course
It was awesome to be able to golf in January this course is not bad in shape. I like coming here.
Winter Golf
Course was in descent shape considering I was playing golf in January in Colorado. Everything just very hard.
Always a fun time no matter your score
I have always enjoyed playing this course and have many imes before. Great course with good length. If you can tee it up here.
like this place
it was in good condition and I have always liked this place, I will go there again and again.
Excellent
Great shape, fair but with a challenge and always easy to get to.
Decent course if you can get a good deal.
The course was in fairly good shape. The greens were rolling well at a good pace. The only problems were in the fairways. A couple spots were in need of attention.
Great course and will challenge any golfer
We have played the course several times this year and it has been in great shape. Staff is always friendly. A good deal for the money.
