Eagle Trace Golf Club
About
The course at Eagle Trace Golf Club is one of several in Colorado that were designed by architect Richard Phelps. Views of the Rockies and splendid Cottonwoods sprinkled across the course make it an enjoyable game. Five lakes and over sixty bunkers add some challenging elements to the course. Located in Broomfield, the golf course is 6,529 yards from its longest tees, playing to a par of 72. Eagle Trace Golf Club also offers teeboxes specifically made for children. They also have a junior golf program for kids under 10.

Great Weather and good conditions except for
Course is in good condition for a public course helped by the amount of rain in Denver this summer. Some bunkers were very hard and others very playable. There was a lot of goose material on three holes which we reported to the course. On a weekday afternoon and with cool weather we had an enjoyable time.
Needs Help
Played 18 with my son yesterday. No starter and line of players taking off when they felt like it...lots of them beginner twosomes.
Greens freshly plugged, but wasn't made aware of that when tee time placed. Would've played elsewhere if I'd known that. Pro shop was vacant when I entered to check in. Pace of play was spotty. No refreshment cart during the round - in the middle of the day, too. Course condition was barely average. The disappointing thing is this course could be highly rated with proper management. City courses in Denver are in far better condition. Seems like the staff is bored and really don't care. At $49 this course is overpriced. I won't play here again.
Standard muni
Standard municipal course, flat with a little trouble. They aerated the greens (end of August) but no discount. Not a destination course if you only have one round to play.
Great value for a great course
This is becoming more and more my favorite place to play, they take care of the course and they have great prices.
It gets a little croweded on the weekends but if you go later in the afternoons the course is all yours to play!
Challenging enough yet it's a really great course for beginners.
Great Price
It was Monday afternoon. Golf course looked closed. Great pace of play mainly because we were the only ones out there. I thought the course was in decent shape but my wife thought it was not. For $24 each I thought it was good. Pro shop closed and no cart person.
I remember when----
This course used to be one of the best in the area. facilities seem neglected and run down. Please work on the parking lot and entrance to the course. course condition was marginal, but layout still challenging especially from back tees, which I am really not good enough to play. this place needs a major face-lift!
Very Slow
Took my buddy and I 6 hours to play 18. Several times during round had three groups waiting on next tee box. Fun course to play though.
A hidden gem!
This was my first time playing this course. I drove about 30 minutes to get there, and it was well worth the trip! I teed off right after a thunderstorm, but there was no wait anywhere on the course, and I finished my round in exactly 3 hours! The course was well-manicured, the holes were challenging but fair, and the staff was very friendly. It lived up to its name - spotted and heard an eagle overhead as I played! I got good deal on 18 holes, but I would pay more - this is my new favorite course!
Nice course, but pace of play tooo slowww
the course was in ok shape, but the pace of play was very slowww. It had 2 somes all over, instead of combining them up to make 4somes. Nice course, fun to play, but tooo slow.
play
I was thoroughly disappointed with the pace of play. It took us 3 hours to play 9 holes and there was only 2 of us. The beverage cart showed up once on the 9th hole. We got a rain check for the back 9 because I don't enjoy 6 hours to golf 18 holes.
The course is in excellent shape
The greens and fairways were in great shape of coarse in excellent conditions
Great course for iron play
The course was very nice and staff was friendly. Great course to practice iron shots! Course is short and I only used driver on the par 5s!
Not too bad!
This was my first time at this course. I don't golf too often so maybe I'm not super picky. The staff was friendly, the food was good, and although there were some dry spots on the coarse, I only found them when I veered off the fairway. Watch out for the tall grass, it will suck you ball right in and you'll never find it!! We went at noon on Monday with the hot deal. It was the perfect time, not too busy and quiet which allowed for a normal speed of play.
Good Course, but HORRIBLE pace of play - WAY overbooked!
Putting aside the pace of play, overbooking, etc, I really enjoyed the course. The course alone is a good value - nice layout, nice greens, fairly good condition, etc. In addition, the practice facility is excellent.
However....My tee time was delayed 40 minutes, and once I got out there, it took us another 3 hours to play 9 holes. Not once did I see a course marshal working on speeding up the pace of play. It totally ruined my experience. The coures is way to overbooked (tee times every 7 or 8 minutes)....clearly more concerned with making money than golfer experience. If they would spread out tee times to every 10-12 minutes, and have a marshal out there ensuring pace of play, this would be a great place.
Interesting and excellent greens
Condition of fairways and greens was excellent. The rough was playing thick in places. Nice mixture of holes , with some great par fives. This is a really fun golf course.
good course for the price
Played better fairways this time of year but overall the course plays well and for the price, I can't complain. Got on with a golf now hot deal for 22 bucks for 18. I would definitely play again.
Nice course for the money.
Eagle Trace is not an epic course but it is nice for the money. Given the affordability the staff and the clientele act and dress appropriately for a golf course. That has not always been my experience at affordable courses. This course is a very good value and it is worth playing.
fun course
course has a little bit of everything water out of bounds slower greens
Mediocre Course, There are better values in the area
I usually play eagle trace a couple times a year because you can get some good deals. The course is very average and the layout is not that interesting. The back nine (4 stars) is far better than the front (2 stars) with some interesting holes like 10, 11, 13, and 18. The driving range is pretty cool (you get to hit into a lake). The course can get backed up and from my experience, the other patrons can be quite rude (and/or drunk).
