Bountiful
Ridge Golf Course
Bountiful
Ridge Golf CourseFor those LINKS players out there, Bountiful hasn't changed much since the course was digitized. The only changes the Utah Golf Authority has noticed are new water hazards on 8, 9 and 18. The hazard on the 18th can be blind so remember there's now a pond in the right half side of the fairway in the valley before the green.
The course is not overly long but it is demanding. Conservative play is in order as most fairways are flanked by thick strands of trees and waste areas. The front nine is easy to walk but the back nine requires a long up and downhill climb to the east side of the street bisecting the course..
Make tee times on Thursday morning at 7:00 AM for the weekend. Wake up early and just keep hitting the redial button. Don't give up even if one hour has passed. If you know anyone who is a local, ask them to stop by and get you a time (rumor is they get special treatment).
The Pro Shop and the snack bar are ok. Like Valley View Golf
Course there is a "community center" feel about the
place. There is NOT a driving range and you have to get a map
to the putting green.
Besides the golf course the best thing is sitting on the outside
balcony after the round watching the approach shots to the 18th
green.
Overall the course is a fantastic value for the $18 green fee.
