Rifle Creek Golf Course

A few miles off of I-70 you find this hidden gem of a course. The front nine is more open but water comes in to play on most holes. The back is where the fun and views really begin. Long par 5s and elevation changes are just a few of the surprises that await you. Can’t way to play it again

We live in Carbondale and prefer driving to Rifle to play the course over River Valley Ranch. The staff is amazing and the course is always fun! I had two hole in ones in nine months , on hole's # 9 and #11. Golf memories I will remember forever. While the back 9 seems more challenging than the front , the greens are fast making it tough scoring for the entire 18 holes. We think we will look at a season pass next year and really get after it! My wife and I love Rifle Creek Golf Course and can't wait to play again!

Staff was excellent. Greens in good shape. Course seemed to play long for its slope rating. Some blind holes that would be interesting to play a second time driving range and cart paths only fair

Fun hidden gem in Rifle, Co. Great course to play with fun holes and challenging moments. Front 9 and back 9 are completely different which adds to a fun challenging course. The only thing is the tee box locations are a bit confusing to find on the front 9. Overall a fantastic course that I would recommend and play again!

Went down on Memorial Day Weekend, hit the sweet spot with our group and pace of play as we never waited after the first hole and played our round in just about 4 hours and 10 minutes. Front nine and back nine are completely different. Front nine is in an old cow pasture not a ton a elevation changes. Back nine is the complete opposite up into canyons with tight tee shots, blind tee shots and plenty of elevation changes. Course is short but still challenging enough to warrant attention on every shot. Lots of slope in the greens, uphill you really had to hit the putt and downhill be careful to not let your putt get away from you. Staff was friendly and the course conditions were great a little wet in areas probably from the previous days rain. Either way nice little municipal track that offers a forgiven font nine paired with a challenging back nine and some gorgeous holes on the back. (Go for the green on 16) Shorter hitters take driver look for the white and black aiming post on the ridge, longer hitters better suited with 3 wood or hybrid. Our group found all our tee shots.

Rifle Golf Course is in a beautiful setting and the course was in good shape. Always one of my favorite places to play. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

2nd time playing here and loved it as much as the first time! Only concern is that there had “punched” the greens (for Fall aeration) and made no mention of it at the time of checking in. This is obviously going to effect putting and green play.
