My experience
This course is maintained well. We were 5 minutes off pace and had 2 different Rangers stop us 3 times in 2 holes complaining about us being 5 minutes off schedule. Note: NOBODY was pushing our group or waiting for us. They also called us to start 10 minutes early and the starter gave us an ear full for not being at #1 on time. Tried to explain they are early but he didn't seem to care. Personally, I found the Rangers and starters rude. I will NEVER play this course again!
Lots of trees
Otherwise a pretty straight forward course, but it still kicked my butt. Pace of play was agonizingly slow however. I don't know if that is the norm or if I just got unlucky.
This course has a lot of trees.
Generally, this course is flat and the green is not challenging. It is a common town golf course.
Too packed
I played by myself on a Sunday I teed off at 320 and didn't get off till dark every shot seemed like a 20 min wait I could never get warmed up to get loose other than that it was great...
Lined with many old trees; very scenic
mostly flat course but lined with trees; requires accurate tee shots
Great Value, Great Track
Nice track! The course is very simple in terms of the layout, but it is a wonderful test for any golfer.
Good outing
the course was in good shape, front nine played in a timely manner but the back slowed down, for some reason we had a couple groups that got in front of us that weren't there on 10 or 11 but we still played within 5 hours
Course in good shape, greens good
This course was quite enjoyable and a good value for the money. Staff was very welcoming and friendly/helpful. Course is good for scoring on and not the most difficult but a bit challenging at times and very fair if played wisely. It was my first time at this course and knowledge of best ball placement would be helpful, enjoyed the water running through fairways.
Good pace of play
I have played here quite a few times over the years. Generally decent pace. This course requires only one skill....to hit the ball straight. There is not one shot on the course that requires the player to work the ball. Trees everywhere will get you on trouble fast if your errant off the tee, but if you hit the fairway off the tee your on the way to the easiest pars you will find on a course. Overall a decent weekday course, would not spend my Saturday morning playing here however.
Good Fun Course
We played this course twice on our visit to Boulder.
We really enjoyed the course which looks a lot easier than it really is.
Placing of tee shots is at a premium here, the greens are very well maintained even if somewhat flat.
We enjoyed our first round so much we returned on the 28th July and were not disappointed.
Staff were super and we will return on our next visit.
First time, and I will be back
I thought the course was in great shape for this time of summer, and t he staff was friendly. The course reminded me of Park Hill in many ways and was enjoyable. The pace of play and the price were fantastic and are definitely worth coming back for.
1st time playing, we had a great time. Even though it is flat is still requires skill to manuever around trees.
Course was fun, in good shape and great price. Even though it is a flat course you still need to hit a straight ball to score well. Trees were added plus for providing shade on a very hot day. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Picturesque.
Cheap and Easy
This is a simple course that is flatter than anything I ever played before. Wide open fairways and subtle but consistently fast greens. They seem to use a lot of water and keep things in good shape for the most part. A lot of leaves and cotton blowing around right now though, it can be very distracting when trying to find a ball in the rough. Value and convenience if you live in Boulder.
Great Course!
I use to play this course as a teenager with my father back in the late 60's, early 70's. I took my son there because I always enjoyed playing there and I wanted to revisited old memories. I wasn't disapointed. Still a great, fun course after all these years! Thank you so much!!!
Greens & Fairways great shape
This course is an excellent front range old-style course - narrow tree-lined fairways & small greens make accuracy a premium. Greens have subtle breaks and roll true. Fairways are trimmed to specifications and no bald spots. The price is icing on the cake, and super for walkers too.
Straight-forward course
Great deal from golfnow.com for 2 players with cart. Holes are mostly straight. A good walking golf course.
Basic but well kept and with a nice view
Most of the courses are pretty straight; not a lot of danger from the water hazards and not many sand traps in the way either. But the course is well maintained and the views of the Flatirons are great.
Great flat course. Excellent for walking. Enough challenges to keep it interesting.
Great course for walking and the intermediate golfer. Excellent scenery. Well maintained and consistent greens. Love playing here off and on for nearly 30 years now.
The greems were excellent.
Good layout, fast greens putted very well, rough penal, hidden water can be a problem if you don't pay attention.
This course is in excellent shape.
The fairways are well maintained. The greens are fast enough and fair.
