Mesa Golf Course:
Signature holes and course statistics

Battlement Mesa, Colo. - Hole No. 7 on the front nine is a 565-yard
downhill par 5, with spectacular views of the Bookcliff range. This
hole is the number one handicap hole on the course, due to the many
areas of trouble that await the wayward shot. A good long drive
can send your tee shot over the crest of the hill and gain an extra
80 yards.
This could leave you the opportunity to go for the green in two, but be aware of the lake on the right, and the many bunkers lining the fairway and surrounding the green. From tee to green the left side of this hole is lined by sagebrush and one out of bounds. This hole can be a good scoring hole, but watch out for the high numbers, as lots of trouble abound.
Hole No. 18 on the back nine is a 415-yard par 4, which usually
plays into the prevailing westerly winds. The hole is a dogleg left
with a fairly large bunker on the left corner of the dogleg, and
a lake along the right side of the fairway. For left to right players
this is a difficult hole, because the farther right your tee shot
goes, the farther your second shot to the green becomes.
The green is guarded by bunkers on the left, and the lake on the right. The green is a large three tiered green, so take pin placement into effect when choosing your yardage. A tough finishing hole, especially when the wind is in your face.
