Spring Valley Golf Course
About
Spring Valley Golf Course is a public, 18-hole course that features a rolling, hilly terrain with stately Cottonwood trees that are over 75 years old sprinkled throughout. Designed by Ross Graves, the golf course took over three years to construct, which is understandable considering its elevation of 6400 feet and its hilly terrain. The course is 7,180 yards from its championship tees with a par of 72. Golfers will have to employ their short game for this course. Spring Valley Golf Course's signature hole is the 17th, which is a par-3 that requires a tee shot not only through trees but also over a creek that winds through the course. There is also plenty of wildlife, including rabbits, deer, and antelope, for those who enjoy animals.

Soft greens and fairways
I'm guessing they've gotten their fair share of rain recently. The greens and fairways were incredibly soft in several areas. So, down side is really no roll when you hit the fairways, but the greens held approach shots. Biggest downside was that the greens are so soft, that even spikes left noticeable dents in the green and you just couldn't get a good roll. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, as I played on a Sunday afternoon - perhaps they'll be rolling the greens early next week? Pace of place was slow, but again - it was a Sunday afternoon. We finished in just under 5 hours, sadly no sign of a marshal to help move the slower groups along. Would I play here again? Absolutely - conditions are still better than most and the layout is fun, staff is great and the drink cart comes around pretty regularly. Thanks Spring Valley!
Great value
An excellent value for the money, no matter what time of day you start. I started at 3:30 and was just barely able to finish the round , but that is the only quibble I have. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the golf course was in excellent shape all the way around. The setup of the course was tough in some places but fair all the way around. The half pound bacon cheeseburger was an excellent ending to the day at Spring Valley. I would highly recommend this course.
Nice layout, slow play
The course has quite a few dry spots which is not surprising considering the hot weather we've had.. It also seemed like a few more people could use a lesson in repairing their own ball marks. I did way more than my share on every hole. And I wish someone would catch the idiots that spit their sunflower seed shells on the greens! Pace of play was slow, waited on every hole. Five hours plus to complete the round, not ideal. The staff as usual was very friendly. We will go back but perhaps not on a weekend.
Amazing course!
Amazing course with friendly staff. Greens are for the most part straight but sometimes offer big breaks. It was pouring rain but still had a blast. The only downfall I’d say are the carts. Gas powered and you can tell they are old.
A New Favorite
The front and back offers vastly different Challenges, Do not take lightly the Par3's on this course!
ProShop staff is friendly and the HS kids cleaning the carts are as well, tip them!
too difficult
The greens were in poor condition and pin placements were ridiculous. Its as though the maintenance crew were trying to place the cup on any subtle ridge they could find. The White tees were too far back. Should not have a Par 4 that is 422 plus yards (hole 10). A Par 3 was 200 yards and 180 yards on the front 9. Dont try walking this course. The distance from green to Tee boxes was well over 100 yards on average..
Excellent course conditions. Felt like we had to wait quite a bit though we still finished in under 4.5hrs so that was great. Greens have a good amount of undulations. Happy we palyed out there and looking forward to again.
Great course
People are always friendly and course is in good condition.
This is a great walking course.

It’s a fun course and can certainly be challenging if played from the tips.
It pays to be able to place shots, not just grip and rip.
Overall, a course I’ve played a few times and will continue to do so.
