Rams finish 5th at Texas Tech Tournament
Fort Collins, Colo. -(Sept. 8, 1999) The Colorado State
womens golf team fired a 317 in the final round of the Texas
Tech Jeannine McHaney Memorial today in Lubbock finishing in a tie
with Colorado for fifth place.
The Rams shot 316 and 306 in yesterdays opening rounds. Texas Tech was crowned team champions after shooting a tournament-low 296 in the final round to move up from fourth place. Oklahoma (920) dropped one spot on the final day to finish second followed by UTEP (935), Nebraska (936), Colorado and the Rams (942) who round out the top-5. Senior Bree Sharratt (230) lead the way for the Rams climbing one spot in the final round to finish tied for seventh. Sharratts 14-over-par final score was 10 strokes behind tournament champion Linda Chen (220) of UTEP.
Senior Kristin Clarke shot 232 to finish in a three-way tie for
ninth place after her final round of 79. Sophpmore Bridget Johnson
fired 241 to finish tied for 35th, while juniors Wendy Veto (244)
and Robyn Roy (246) finished in ties for 41st and 45th respectively.
