Homestead Golf Club
About
Formerly named Crater Springs Golf Course, Homestead Golf Club is located in Midway, a secluded valley between Heber and the wasatch Mountains. It was designed by Senior PGA Tour player Bruce Summerhays who lives in the area. With countryside property overlooked by 10,000 foot mountains he had a very scenic canvas to build upon. The finished course winds past red barns and meadows, up and down hills and across streams and gullies.

Grass needed to be cut
Course fairways and first cut ruff needed to be cut. Also, GPS in cart should update to next hole automatically and not require one or two button depresses on every hole.
And message on GPS that continues to warn golfers they are responsible for damages to property is irritating.
To score well, one needs to play this course at least twice.
Beautiful golf course at Midway, UT.
We loved this course! We had some difficulty finding our way there but once we teed off it was great. Perfect fast greens and challenging water hazards along the way. The pace started really slow as a tournament was just clearing out but picked up to a brisk pace on the back. Plenty of ways to lose balls here, impenetrable grass and meandering waterways. Beautiful views of the valley below and mountains all around. Well worth the trip.
Beautiful setting in Midway Utah
Fun course with variety of holes with great mountain and valley views. Visit the Crater for a soak afterwards.
Great scenery
Course is challenging with some tight shots especially back nine..condition of course was very good, greens are smooth but they have a poa anna problem which makes them a little slow and inconsistent. Above average overall for experience..
Recent upgrades make this a very pretty and colorful course.
Some holes hvae berern im[roved and the landscaping and flowers add coror to an already beautiful setting.
Great mountain style course with fantastic views.
Well maintained and generous fairways. Greens were also well maintained. Front nine wanders up and down the side hill with a couple of ponds along the way. Back nine wanders through the valley with a stream and several ponds. Beautiful scenery and wildlife to see. Fun golf course with some difficulty added along the way.
Great mountain valley course.
The course was in terrific shape and was a great value on the last minute deal. The only problem was the pace of play was terrible on the back nine. It took 2 hours to play the front nine and 2+ hours to play 4 holes on the back 9. We called the club house and they sent out someon who appologized for the backup. Apparently there was a group of with four players and two women just riding along that had to much to drink. We ran into a 3 groups backed up on number 10 and 4 groups by number 12. We gave up after 13 seeing the problem group on the tee box of 16. It's too bad they course choose not to remove them or get them to speed up play because we saw a number of other groups quit also.
Excellent Course
The course was amazing. Everything was top notch. Great service. The greens were well maintained. Honestly one of the best courses I've played.
Course was in good shape for this early in the season. The new tee boxes improved the course.
We had a great golfing experience at this course. The staff was friendly and the course was in good shape. They have made some new tee boxes and some new water features that have made the course a better golfing experience.
Very enjoyable round!
The course had some very interesting holes that required decent shot management without being wickedly difficult. 3 or 4 holes, particularly on the back nine, were really pretty. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The overall feeling was comfortable and casual and really enhanced my experience.
Will play again when back in Utah
Played for first time while on vacation. Staff was nice and friendly. We were met at our car and our clubs were taken and placed onto a cart. Our clubs were wiped down before we left the course by staff also. We were able o tee off earlier than regular tee time and was kept in a twosome. Course is well maintained and beautiful. Will play again if ever in Utah again. Views of valley when on front nine were very nice to look at.
