Desert Canyon
Two friends and I decided to play this golf course since we had all driven by the course on the way to Boise many times. It turned out to be a blast, even though it was quite breezy. The staff was incredibly helpful and nice and even mentioned that we might move our vehicles so as not be be hit by errand golf balls. The Pro gave us yardage books with descriptions of the holes so we could navigate the course. The front nine is similar to most municipal courses, but the back nine was totally different with ravines and sloped fairways. The staff at the Pro shop and restaurant were very pleasant and knowledgeable. The only downside was the leaves on the front nine were challenging to find your ball, but manageable and expected at this time of year. I want to make time to play there again next year.
