It's your "lucky day" at #12, advance up 150 yards from the tee, making this par 5 a poor excuse for a par 4, but do not pass go and do not collect 200 dollars Photo submitted by cbcruz305024 on 04/21/2017

Love this course
This course is fun to play. Bring balls as you will need them on the front nine if you cannot hit it straight. It's always a treat to play!
Pro Shop Drama Queen
The General Manager appeared selectively friendly. At times she was bossy, rude & not exactly customer service oriented. Seemed disgruntled with Golf Now deals.
Great day on the course
Another perfect Colorado day [on November 20] go figure. The golf matched the weather. In the 70's.
The course was in great condition and played very fast.
Fun Layout Great Course
The course is in great shape for this time of year.
Alway have a good time.
Went out on a gray day at 4:00 with my teen son. Saw only one group 2 holes in front and one group 2 holes back. Greens are true. Hard course from the back. I don't know who else plays here, but I spend a lot of time fixing an extra ball mark or filling in divots. It seems someone hit from the 3 green to the 5 green, probably a good 6 iron and left two divots in the green.
Played 18 in 3.5 hours
Staff was friendly, course played fast and was in very good condition.
Love the front
4th time playing the course. The front is fun. As my son said on the 6th tee, "This is Colorado golf."
Fun and challenging course for a good deal
I had plated this course 5 years ago when it kicked my butt and having driven past it many times, I always thought is was just an average run. I got a great deal mid-week and tried it again and darn fun and fairly challenging! Many holes with bling shots you need to trust up and down. Front 9 has a very solid slope rating. Back nine a bit easier but still good. I would not pay full price but if you find a deal, take it.
I would not recommend this course to anyone
The course is in okay condition but the staff is extremely rude and I did not feel welcomed at all. The greens are slow and the tee boxes are in poor condition. I would avoid this course if you can and pay a little extra to play somewhere else.
I agree with this comment about the staff being rude. I experienced this on Sat 10/21. The course has a unique layout, challenging, nice backdrop of the footballs... but I refuse to spend my money where my money is NOT appreciated.
Good Course
Hamburgers cooking from Texas Roadhouse made us hungry.
Very good course...probably a little over priced
The layout of the course is great. I love playing it. If you keep the ball in play, it plays pretty easy. Service was just OK. Pace of play for a Friday morning was very good. For some reason they were not very busy.
Avoid this course like the plague
It's upsetting that I have to write this review, but after years of playing deer creek and always wondering why there were tee times available when all the other courses were fully booked, that question was finally answered for me this past weekend.
In short, I have 3 main points:
-the course is overpriced for the condition that it's in, I understand that it's early season, but thats no excuse for some of the greens and tee boxes, and spots from the middle of the fairway as you can see in the photos. Additionally #12 the par 5 has been turned into a short par 4 where you tee off from the fairway because they closed down the tee boxes for construction. And on the back 9 the only bathroom on #13 was closed, so you really can't go to the bathroom anywhere on the back 9. No one told us any of this when we were making our tee time or about to get on the course.
- I did some research and found out the course owner filed for bankruptcy in 2013 and were saved by a loan from a home building company. So I would suspect they are operating on a lean operating budget thus explaining the poor conditions and the poor service which ill get into below.
-The aforementioned poor service is the real reason to avoid this course. This is the point I want to explain in detail.
I'm sure for many people, golf is supposed to be a fun experience, that you pay good money for. The staff at dear creek could not have made this experience any further from that statement.
We were one of the earlier tee times, but we bought a few morning beers from the bar inside, she gave us a cooler and we were on our way.
On the sixth hole the group behind us accused us of littering and throwing our cans in the creek and leaving them on tee boxes, which were absolutely NOT doing.
I was obviously a little perturbed by this rudeness and I told the group, those were not ours.
At the turn we bought six more beers, then on hole #12 the par 5 which has been turned into a par 4, a marshall came up to us, seemingly standard procedure, said hello, pretended that was all he wanted. Then hung around us for another 10 min watching us hit our shots and driving around us. I finally went up to him and said "Can I help you" . He immediately, tries to accuse us of bringing our own beers on the course, stating that bringing our own beers against the law in colorado, interrogating us on where we got our beers, if they were tall boys, which they clearly werent. Thanks for the relaxing round deer creek, where I'm a suspected criminal for doing nothing wrong.
So obviously after this we are upset and go inside and ask to speak to the manager, who is not there. The front desk person asks us whats wrong and I tell him. He tells us to call in the afternoon when the manager is supposed to be in, saying there's nothing he can do. I call in the afternoon, still no manager, but now I'm talking to Bill, who is in charge at the time, he listens to me and says he'll call the management company, but they never do refunds. He says he'll return my call by monday or tuesday. Monday and tuesday go by, no call back.
So I call Wednesday. Instead of apologizing, he makes a ton of excuses of how the course isn't in bad of shape for the time of year, and all the other courses in the area are in the same condition, which 1. is simply not true, and 2. thats not the main reason I'm asking for a refund, although it's a small part of it. The main reason is because the staff treated us like we dont belong there. At which point he says, "theres nothing I can do", and at which point I said then "I'll have to take my business elsewhere going forward and tell everyone I know to do the same." To which he basically replies back to me "go ahead" .
So that's what I'm doing.
If you want to play a course that is trying to climb out of bankruptcy by overcharging and under-maintaining, and worst of all, won't even issue you an apology much less a refund when they come up to you to try and pin you for a "crime" that you didnt commit...Then play deer creek.
Otherwise, I recommend you take this course off of your denver rotation and play one of the many other establishments in the area.
It's upsetting that I have to take this course of my rotation cause the layout isnt half bad. But after the way we were treated, I dont care if this course was in good of shape as Augusta in April. I'd still avoid it like the plague, and I suggest you do the same.

Good course bad pace
This was my 50+ time playing deer creek. I love the course layout as it offers many different challenges. The common theme is stay left! I don't know if it's the late season play or what but this was the worst round I've ever played here. The pace of play was absolutely horrible, the foursome in front of us was walking around looking for balls taking their sweet a$& time. We eventually skipped a hole and went around them. I believe this is because tee times are not regulated in late season play. We went off the first tee at 12:23, our tee time. I guarantee the 2 groups ahead of us were supposed to tee off behind us but didn't do it was a lot of waiting! Probably won't play here again in late season due to lack of staff and regulation play.
DJ
Nice fun course with alot of different holes. Really great value for the money. Nice clubhouse and very friendly staff.
A tough course
With baring elevations between tee box and green along with the side hill slope the front 9 demands precise shots.
The back 9 has some island greens that demand very accurate shots.
I would play it again but not in October, the fairways were a bit worn, it has been dry.
Definitely not what we experienced! GM was wonderful and very helpful when we had booked our tee time for the wrong day. Some people just have bad days.
