Located in Fort Lupton, Coyote Creek Golf Course is less than 30 minutes from Denver, Longmont, and Boulder. The course wanders across an expanse of short grass prairie that features a unique blend of grasses, which sets the course apart from most other municipal courses in the state. The layout has large, undulating greens and rolling fairways that are mostly wide but there are a few that are narrow and tough to navigate. Several bunkers are strategically placed throughout and there is quite a bit of water as well, especially on the par 3s. The signature hole is the par-5 ninth. This long hole requires accuracy with a creek that cuts across the fairway but its elevated tee offers a stunning view of the Rocky Mountains. The golf course offers a fair amount of challenge but it is still player-friendly enough for beginners.
