Great find!
Outstanding mountainside course that is in great shape. Hitting off elevated tees into scenic fairways way below makes this a challenging and fun course to play
Great value!
My sister and I golfed this course which was excellent, but for the Mosquitos on a few of the holes!! We had a great time even with the Mosquitos! The staff was very helpful and friendly.
Tougher than normal
My son wanted to prep for high school tourney, so we elected to play the golds, at about 6750 yards. Then wind was howling at up to 40 mph thus my normal 90-95 score quickly became 109! Still I really like this course and find it to be one of my favorites in western CO.
Beautiful views and challenging course.
We play this course several times a year. Always a friendly staff and great experience. Putting tip- everything breaks away from the thumb on the mountain.
Excellent Value
Our foursome came over from Grand Junction because of the screaming deal we got through GolfNow.com. It was 50% off full fare and made the short drive well worth the time and gas money. I rated the food & beverage excellent ........ to be honest though I did not have any food. The beer was ice cold and they provided a cooler for our foursome. And ice cold beer rates an excellent in my book. Last thing, the golf pro had only one requirement when we checked in: Have Fun. We did and will be back.
Fun risk reward course
Almost identical to previous review. Greens are in great shape as far as smoothness and speed. The fairways are patchy in a lot of spots. In the few bunkers I found, there was no sand. Bladed almost every bunker shot due to SW bouncing off hard dirt. Overall if you stay out of the bunkers its a good course. Has a couple of high elevated drivable par 4's. Most of the par 5's are reachable in 2 from the blue and gold tees. If you can get the Hot Deal on Golfnow it is a great bargain.
Interesting elevation changes
This is a fun course because of the extreme elevation changes. The course has several high risk high reward holes. The greens were in good shape and some were deceptively sloped requiring your best reading ability. The fairways were somewhat sparse in places. Almost all the bunkers are in need of new sand as they were very hard to the point you could putt out of them. The course is a fair test and I recommend it.
A diamond in the rough
Visiting from Florida, we had never played a course like this. It has literally been carved out of the mountains. Staying in the fairway is a must. We were very impressed with the uniqueness of each hole. If we are ever back this way, we will play it again.
Fun and challenging toplay
Unusual features with many elevated tees. First impression is that you are in a barren desert but fair ways and greens are beautiful. Fun and challenging to play! Price is right too.
