Interlocken Golf Club - Eldorado/Sunshine
About
The Interlocken Golf Club offers three nine-hole courses that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Eldorado/Sunshine Course at the facility differs from the other two with its rolling terrain and fairways. The course is challenging with rough, deep ravines, and water hazards coming into play. The greens are also undulating and very difficult to read. Besides the formidable game the course offers, there is also an abundance of wildlife and beautiful scenery. Foxes, coyotes, and deer are often spotted on the course. The courses at the Interlocken Golf Club have received local acclaim as well as praise from national golf publications including TravelGolf.com and Golf Magazine.

Spring special tipped scales!
Read all about it!?!?!
Okay. To be fair, all Colorado courses have aerated so the greens are in rough shape but speaking only to the tee-to-green shots and challenge, I was expecting more from Interlocken.
Having played Riverdale Dunes, where each hole is cut into its own little valley, shaped by the natural land, I thought Interlocken was like this but no, its not.
It's perfectly fine for a nice "muni" golf course but since its the major attraction for the hotel, BANG goes up the price and its simply NOT worth $140+ per round... its not! I'm very glad to only have paid $76 to play. If and when you play and pay more, you'll see what I mean and the starter getting people out to their rounds was confused on the who and where so that backed it up from the start. 2nd nine (Vista) was backed up three groups!
If I'm going to pay $120+ to play golf here in Colorado, it has to be Arrowhead or the guest fee at Cherry Hills or Castle Pines.
P.S. - Do NOT bug the cart-girl... she's on her phone... constantly and cannot be bothered by pesky golfers requesting beer, candy or even an ice water... all day, she drove past us at least six times and never even hinted at stopping to ask us if we wanted anything!
Great members and staff
Wish they had one more beer person. Not bad for just opening.
Picture Perfect Day at Interlocken Vista/Sunshine
The green complexes were very challenging and some of the fastest I’ve ever putted on. The fabulous weather and good company made this round one I won’t forget!
Great course , great value
Played a couple times this year. One of my new favorites in the metro area.
Beautiful course
Premium level course, range balls and cart are already set for you with tees and a white towel to clean your clubs. Cold water refilling station right before you set off. Very friendly pro shop !
Best spot between Boulder and Denver
Great course super friendly staff everyone from the club house to the bar and even the people keeping the course in tip top shape we’re pleasant and polite. I love this course there are 3 unique 9 hole courses that all have their own challenges.
Winter conditions
Cart path only in December and drought, so no biggie. But the fires were going and it was rough to play in smoke and ash.
Pretty Nice Course
I didn't give this course a full 5 star review due to the time of year that I played. The price for an off season round seemed a little high to me. That being said, the staff and the layout here are excellent !! There is some elevation changes and dog legs that give this course some fun character. My suggestion is to play here in the mid summer months. Be prepared to pay 140 to 150 mid week and possibly a little more on the weekends. Enjoy !!
Cart Path Only!!!!!
the course was dry, not sure why it was cart path only. barely finished by dusk because of this, and some slow players. if i had known (through GolfNow) ahead of time I would have went elsewhere, ridiculous how much they charged for cart path only!!
the course layout is terrific, but the greens were furry as were the fairways. i’m guessing because of a cold snap then warm again, but still need to cut the greens, not just roll them. the greens were bumpy, they rolled ok(maybe 10) would like to have seen them closer to 12.
Excellent course - We played in extremely big winds
Nice layout w/ better than average fairway width’s and extremely large and difficult greed because of the up & down and sideways slopes
My son was a member for several years and I believe win the club championship a couple of times
Great Course. Great Views. Great Staff.
While the greens fees are higher here, the course and the amenities are worth every penny. Cart, tees, and range balls are included in the price and even non-members are treated extremely well. The course is challenging but fun. This is my new favorite place to play!
Course conditions
The greens were in terrible shape and so are the teas for paying full price I expected more staff was friendly but I expected a refund or a rain check for a free round for my group.
great course, tough greens
I have played over 500 courses in 20+ states, Interlocken had the toughest green complexes I have ever played. Putts broke opposite from what you saw, greens were rolling at 11+, and the contours were crazy. 3 times I was on the green in regulation, hit a putt, and had a 10-20 yard chip coming back up the hill. One guy in the group had a 4 footer, missed it low but not too hard, and had 40 yards coming back. Crazy stuff. Frustrating.
The rest of the course is very nice. It kind of sits down in a bowl so you don't get the views like on some other CO courses. Conditions were perfect, even after a brief frost delay that morning. Good sight lines off the tee, some very cool holes, and a very fair course until you got to the greens. Pace was a bit slow, but mostly due to the greens.
Staff was very attentive and organized. I lost my belt to TSA and they were able to hook me up with a NexBelt. Their tee time procedures are a bit difficult to figure out, but it seemed to work. We saw coyote, deer, and several raptors on the course which I always enjoy.
Most of the course and amenities I would give 5 stars, but they need to keep in mind this is a resort course and not kill us with pin placements. Very enjoyable nonetheless and I would recommend if you are in NW Denver.
