Flatirons Golf Course
About
The golf course at Flatirons Country Club has a long and unique history, undergoing several name changes, renovations, and even a location change since its conception in 1938. It is a popular choice since it accommodates all skill levels but also provides adequate challenges. The course has fast greens and narrow, tree-lined fairways. Water hazards and bunkers come into play on several of the holes. In addition to the excellent game it provides, the course also has a reputation for being in excellent condition. Flatirons Country Club has practice facilities including a practice green and chipping area as well as an on-site instructor and pro shop.

Very Good
Great parkland course with flattish greens with subtle countours. understanding the course and where water comes into play enhances the experience. I'm sure the greens will get better as the season goes on.
Price OK for walking
Paid $20 to walk 9 holes in the afternoon. Course is kept fairly well, the greens still had aeration marks. I thought it was OK value.
Charged higher price than advertised on Golf Now
I bought a round of golf here for 22 with a cart (Cheaper during aeration). They charged me extra for the cart even though I had proof of the price I reserved. The staff acted as if they didn't need my business. I will never play here again
Pro Staff Staff rude & dismissive
After locking in a round for $22 due to aeration -- when I arrived the guy at the proshop made me pay an extra $14 for the cart. I showed him my email that confirmed the $22 price w/ cart included. He was very dismissive, knew nothing about customer service & didn't care what my email confirmation said. He laughed at me as if I were insane to think they would allow us on the course for $22 w/ cart.
Maybe it was a mistake to price the round w/ cart @ $22 on golfnow -- but the situation could not have been handled worse by the Flatirons staff.
Not Worth The Money
I played this course less than a month ago and would not have been impressed even if the grounds were perfect (which they were far from). The greens were 60% sand, 5 or 6 of the tee boxes were under construction and the worst part was the layout. You are constantly going back and forth, hitting in to the group in front or behind you and the course is VERY flat. The only dynamic to the course was a small stream the runs through a few of the fairways. I have probably played 15 or so different courses since I moved here and this was by far my least favorite.
Decent course for the money
No fancy clubhouse, but fairways and greens were in excellent condition. Greens are probably among the easiest you will find anywhere...not much slope in any of them. Good value for the money. Also, there is a driving range available.
Great conditions - except for the tee boxes
A really nice course in great early season condition, except for the tee boxes. It is clear they have been/are working on them, but there is a lack of grass on the tops, and several were just dirt and sand hills that are currently closed. The staff was friendly, and it took 2:08 to play the front nine on a Friday evening, which isn't too bad. This course has some great views, and lots of mature trees for Colorado. I would definitely go back.0
Good flat course.
This is a great course to hit some long straight drives, and get some really nice on in two shots.
Fun course with good views of the Flatirons.
Great value for the money
The course is a very nice public course , lots of large old trees, some small lakes and creeks, If you get off of your fairway you will more than likely be in play on someone elses.
Only 18 hole public golf course within Boulder city limits.
Older parkland layout, decently maintained given how many rounds must be played there per year. Typical classic design with some dog legs created by large mature trees. With minimal bunkering and avoidable water hazards, would be a very easy course if not for the small greens and many trees. Has got to be the most walkable course in Colorado as it is pancake flat, and it's great to see that probably at least half of people playing choose to walk. I have seen pace of play get very slow on busy days. I give it 3.5 stars based on the fact it is just a few miles away from downtown Boulder, decent value for what you get, some nice views of the Flatirons, and is a great walking course. If you are flexible with your tee time, can usually find a deal on GolfNow.com
One of our favorites
Good pace, in great shape for WINTER,
Impressed with ALL the work thay are doing on the Tee Boxes.. NICE and LEVEL.
Price right
Never have played this course..since I got a smoking deal thought I would take a chance. Greens look like no one has fixed a divot mark in months..little attention to all the leaves on the course..lots of construction going on..new tee box's etc. Makes playing course more challenging. Since this is November was not expecting great condition but this falls into the just fair category.
Flatirons In Boulder CO - Great GolfNow Deal
Outstanding GolfNow value at $25 / person for green fees and cart. Greens were quick but true. Some challenging holes required good ball placement.
Ship that Hot Deal!
Currently building new tee boxes(making 5 diff. levels of play), occasional construction noise
Can hit left or right on this course, no problem
Greens are nice and fast
When weather is nice, play can be slow
Not all people know to let you pass/ the club house lets too many twosomes go off too quick/ tends to bottle up certain holes
Gettin cold, and fix your divots
Nice day
Enjoyed the group I played with. The course was in
very good shape. The greens were true.
Very nice course
We like to play this course whenever we are in Boulder. Would have given it 5 stars if it had a better club house.
Nice course, great value
Have played this course and will be playing it many more times. The price is great and has a great wooded setting, plus you can wear jeans, which I really like.
Great Value on a scenic course
The course is well established with big beautiful trees throughout. It has a nice balance of moderately challenging holes with a few trciky and challenging holes. The conditions of the course were very good. Nice fairways and greens that putted quite true. There is water to add additional challenge and beauty and all in all, this course was well worth the drive from Denver. My only negative comment would be the old and dingy restrooms in the dated lockers, but that is quite a minor concern. I was there to play golf and did not require ornate restroom facilities.
An average muni
This is just an average muni, there are no holes that really stand out and are memorable. The greens were in good condition and the sand was nice and soft.
