"The girls played great, and as the conditions improved and we played better," assistant coach Linda Sue Linton said. "We wanted to break 305, and we did that because the girls worked together and pulled in some good scores. They really hung in there all week, overcoming the rain and held their own against a tough field.
We did well against schools we needed to, especially Oregon State and Washington State, teams we need to beat to get to the regional. So overall, they did great and proved that they could play with them." Heavy rains delayed the start of the tournament Monday, and the course finally dried out for the final round.
Linton subbed for CU head coach Anne Kelly, who is missing the meet as she is recovering from a minor health issue; she'll return in time for the team' s next meet.
CU will return to action in two weeks, as the Buffaloes will play in the Hawaii Wahine Invitational during spring break.
