to Host Celebrity Golf Tournament

CASTLE ROCK, CO -- The Ridge at Castle Pines North will host
a national pro-am celebrity golf tournament this summer on July
12.
John Grant, a former Denver Broncos defensive lineman, created the event with his Denver-based Pro Players Network, and has scheduled 11 tournaments for its first year. Amateurs will play with club pros and former or current professional athletes and entertainers will play in a team format designed to attract corporate golfers and their clients.
The tour has also scheduled events in Tampa, Atlanta, Chicago,
Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco
in addition to The Ridge at Castle Pines North, just south of
Denver.
Winning teams will advance to the Pro Players Network Championship at Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Some of the proceeds will be donated to various charities, including a Clubs for Kids program at each city where tournaments are scheduled. Some participants include Joe Sakic, Reggie Jackson, Joe Namath, Bobby Bowden, Peter Forsberg, Glenn Frey, Goose Gossage, Scott Hamilton, Rich Karlis, Keith Kartz, Dave Studdard, Joe Theismann, Steve Watson and Don Zimmer.
