Cactus Golf Daily
and MyrtlebeachGolf.com go on-line.

Rockies Golf Daily, a Colorado based electronic daily updated newspaper with a worldwide readership of over 150,000 each month has now expanded into Arizona, Las Vegas and Myrtle Beach Florida.

The publication, which focuses heavily on local golf news and travel related material, has added two new electronic newspapers. The first, called Cactus Golf Daily at www.cactusgolf.com , will cover in-depth golf news and courses in Arizona and Las Vegas, and Myrtle Beach Golf at www.myrtlebeachgolf.com.

Editor Jules Dintino said that his decision to expand into Arizona and Las Vegas with Cactus Golf Daily was based on the current lack of real golf coverage and the growing need for it in the state of Arizona.

"Arizona is an absolute golf Mecca," Dintino said. "There is a real need for objective golf daily coverage, for a publication which is totally dedicated to the game. The media in Arizona seems to treat golf as a minor sport. Coverage of golf issues and golf business in Artisan so far has been below par. We treat golf seriously. We will cover Arizona golf as a legitimate sport and do so on a daily basis. As far as our Myrtle Beach Golf publication is concerned, our long-range plan is to create a publication there which will establish a national draw. Myrtle Beach is the top golf resort in the country. We want to be there as its number one media authority."

The publication is published in conjunction with a group of investors including Robert Lewis, a University of Arizona graduate, who founded the Rockies Golf Daily a little more than a year ago. Since then, it grew to a readership of over 150,000, becoming Colorado's top publication on golf issues and events. After creating Rockies Golf Daily's parent company Storefronts in Cyberspace, an electronic medium for the promotion of private businesses on the internet, Lewis incorporated his skills as a journalist and web page designer to launch the electronic publication. Lewis' company designs unique web pages for his advertisers in his publications and links golf related businesses together in the electronic media.

"We call our web sites 'storefronts' because we treat on-line businesses no different than we would one that is physical," Lewis said.

According to Dintino, Cactus Golf Daily,, which is presently on-line as a weekly publication and will become daily by October 15, will cover course reviews, junior, women's and men's golf tournaments, golf business and issues. There will be a 400 page plus course listing of all of Arizona's courses and their will also be weekly give-aways of free rounds of golf to the readers. There will also be celebrity interviews and features on sports figures who enjoy the game of golf.

"Our articles will be insightful, educational and written by some of the top golf writers in Arizona," Dintino said. "We will dedicate a great deal of coverage to travel features and destination resorts. Our coverage will be serious and objective, local and focused.

The editor made it a point to note that Cactus Golf Daily will stay away from advertorial driven copy which would compromise in anyway the objectivity of the paper's reporting.

"We allow our writers complete freedom to write what they feel is accurate coverage," Dintino said. "This is important. We want our readership to get the best and most accurate coverage possible. Arizona residents and tourist from all over the world who travel to Arizona and play golf need solid coverage of golf news and issues of interest to them and the tourist industry. People not only want to play golf they want to read about golf too. We will fill the current vacuum which exists with information the Arizona golf community can really use."

Offices for Cactus Golf Daily are located at 34522 N. Scottsdale Road, Suite 239, Scottsdale, Arizona 85262.
